All their lives, they’ve been confused with one another. Dressed in the same clothes, forced into similar hobbies, lumped together into the same box. It’s as if their identities have merged into a single whole. The two brothers, identical twins and the youngest of all the children, are usually addressed in the family as nothing other than ‘you two’, ‘brothers’ or ‘boys’.
This time, Veronika will attempt to separate her brothers’ merged identities. Over a weekend at their family home, she sits down for a chat with each of them separately – with Honza and Tom. Is there a special bond between twins? Or is it us, the people around them, who are projecting this onto them?
