Verena Keysers is the Festival Director of PRIX EUROPA and currently serves as Chief of Staff of the Directorate-General at rbb (Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg).
She studied literature, theatre studies, and cultural communication in Berlin and Paris and worked in theatre, art productions, and film, as well as in various departments at Sender Freies Berlin and rbb. After spending a year abroad in Russia, she joined the dance theatre company Sasha Waltz & Guests, working in dramaturgy and public relations. In 2006, she returned to Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg as an editor. In 2011, Verena Keysers moved to the Directorate-General of rbb and later, in 2016, became Head of Programming for kulturradio (later rbbKultur). Since April 2023, she has held various roles within the Directorate-General at rbb.
